What are the uses of spiral ducts

Release Time : 2025-01-08

Spiral duct is a thin-walled tube with spiral seams made of metal strips. It is round, welded, airtight and watertight. It is mostly used for air supply and bulk material transportation, replacing traditional galvanized iron pipes (i.e. hand-sealed iron pipes). It is a type of duct, fully machined, and straight without manual hammering. Its main uses are as follows:

(1) Air supply, including ventilation, such as fresh air supply and exhaust air supply. This range is very wide, such as factory workshops and production site air. Due to the generation of harmful gases, it is necessary to exhaust them outdoors, and it is also necessary to transport outdoor air to indoors. At this time, it is necessary to use air delivery pipes with large flow and low pressure. Spiral ducts are suitable. Generally, galvanized iron pipes are used, and stainless steel pipes are used in corrosive and particularly humid places.

(2) Cold air supply. The most common is the central air conditioning pipe, which needs to be insulated. The spiral duct can be covered with insulation material, and the appearance looks beautiful.

(3) Exhaust fume. The kitchens of restaurants, hotels, and hotels all generate a lot of fume, which needs to be exhausted. The use of circular ducts is the fume chimney. Here, the spiral duct should be called a fume duct.

(4) Dust removal. Some factories have a lot of dust in their production workshops and require special dust removal equipment. Spiral ducts can be used for pipes with large air flow.

(5) Bulk material transportation. In the production process of some factories, loose particles need to be transported, especially those with low specific gravity such as foam plastic particles. The use of spiral ducts is low-cost and effective.
